“Merku Thodarchi Malai” Movie Review:




The debut director Lenin Bharathi, ushering his proficiency in a restraint of true concept. The story entirely based on, in the region of the western ghats of interior rural people about their terrible life,  “Merku Thodarchi Malai” incontestable of the storyline will be accepted by the audience, as it was how the life of hapless people struggle for their basic needs.



The team focused on the place of Merku Thodarchi Malai, how an old lady missed her family by a furious elephant attack and by that continues an old man who carries loaded sake of cardamom, which their life depending on carrying out the loads till the end of the life.


By this a young couple, getting married with their parents’ blessing and keep a destination of wanted to be an owner of a land in the place of Merku Thodarchi Malai and the couple starting to do agriculture.


Unfortunately, seasons create problems in  their life and finally the struggling land owner’s life whirls into upside down is the balance screenplay..


Cinematography by Theni Easwar which  was spoken out in well manner, the director understands the social issues and that has been coming out on screen. The music by Ilaiyaraaja which was brought out with a resplendent in each frame.
